First Attempts

I saw tons and tons of webpages that were "Personal Pages". Aka, they were ranting sites. People like Thor, Sharkey, and Googleshng, having a webpage that all they do is complain and put stuff that they think are cool to share with the multitude of internet-goers. (You know all those people, right? You should. See the Links page after.) But the one thing that got me was two of the three pages had a comic strip that they would put up ever-so-often, and this was the most appealing part! And these people were messed up enough, and the comics were great.

So I decided when I was in an expecially giddy mood that I would make my very own rant page. So, about a week later, Jon's Prosaic Page was brought into the world. Since abondoned by me, I had a little following with the kids at school, and a few people elsewhere on the net. I had a section called "Noggin Puke" on the site, and that was my rantings. It was a multimedia extravagansa, with pictures and text up the yin-yang. Popular opinion was that they were pretty nifty, funny even. And that was my goal.

And, as a little extra, I put a comic strip ever-so-often up, and this was called Bold Style. It featured our favorite character, of course, but they looked slightly different. Mostly because my drawing style has changed, and that I've become a -little- better at it. ^_^

Needless to say, it was 10 times easier to draw one comic strip than write a rather large rant. Those Noggin Pukes were freakin' huge. Maybe 5 or 6 pages long... whoo... x_x

But, low and behold, it was running me into a hole. I couldn't keep up with my Noggin Puke, and I was digging deeper and deeper into the barrel for more ideas to keep my audience occupied. My brain was fried. So, I quit, the page and Bold Style together. Poop, huh?

Second Attempt: NOW

Well, this is my second attempt at Bold Style, now a daily thing. And I'm darn excited about it. I've always been a drawer, ever since I was little, and this is a dream come true, even if I'm not getting paid for it. o_O

What makes you think that I can keep up with the demands of a regular comic strip? Well, Lets just put it this way. It takes a good 1 to 2 1/2 hours to draw a comic now, then about a half an hour to scan and clean it up. I know this time will go down as I get more aquainted with the characters and scanning, but still, that is a good chunk out of my day. But I put in a good hour a day writing a Noggin Puke on my old site, and about another hour to research the stuff I'll put in it. (Like Pokemon pics to distort, famous people pics to torture. You know, the regular stuff.) Then I would draw the other comic, usually during school or when I'm bor... I mean, have no other responsibilities to take care of. I think that I can do it! ^_^
